contrary states of being throughout the history of Western Civilization.
The work takes the form of a philosophical and poetic journey through a series
of portals, each providing new insights into how the central ideas of order and
chaos were perceived during the Classical, Medieval, Enlightenment, Victorian
and Modern eras, and ultimately provides a contemporary view of these dissonant
concepts. Also included are other selected works by Davis, including his

Ronald F. Davis Ronald F. Davis is
the author of Philosophica et
Poetica, which contains his essays that address contemporary
philosophical issues, including Humanistic
Salvation, Toward Human Perfection, The Purpose Paradox Unraveled and On the Possibility of Revelation. Included in that work is a

into two parts.
Part One, Philosophica, contains four of his essays that address
contemporary philosophical problems. Included is Humanistic Salvation, Toward
Human Perfection, The Purpose Paradox Unraveled and On the
Possibility of Revelation.
Part Two, Poetica, includes the postmodern epic, Egress, the
complete collection of The Fugues, the prologues to the five acts of Prometheus
