Ruth Ratiff is a versatile, professional soprano with many years of performance experience encompassing, musical theater, jazz, classical and sacred repertoire.  Ruth attended Mannes Music College in New York City and The New School for the Arts in Montclair, NJ, and has been a regular attendee at the vocal seminars offered by Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.  She has performed principal roles in several productions with area stage companies, including the Municipal Opera Company of Allentown, PA. She is also a former member of the Pocono Vocal Arts Society, a classical performing group located in Stroudsburg, PA, and has held soloist positions for several northern New Jersey churches and also as the lead vocalist for the Sultans of Swing, a 17-piece swing band based in northern New Jersey.  Ruth has been offering private voice lessons to children, teens and adults since 1998, and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.  She also teaches a vocal empowerment workshop called “Do You Love to Sing?” at county colleges and adult education centers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  

Her show, Songs of the Heart, is presented with artistry and humor, and has been a favorite at many centers throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. More than just a beautiful voice, Ruth creates an enjoyable experience, designed to evoke happy musical memories, and keep you smiling and tapping your toes!  Ruth is accompanied by high-quality backing tracks, and has her own sound system.

Songs of the Heart, a dynamic musical program, showcases well-known standard and contemporary song selections in a highly entertaining format.
