Mindy Jacobs was born in South Philadelphia where her father, a popular night club singer and guitar player, passed on to her a great love of music and entertainment. Mindy fronted an all girl band in high school, and eventually became the leader of Totally Hot, a very successful central New Jersey show band. She has toured nationally and internationally and has appeared in casinos across the U.S. She has appeared overseas for the USO, earning several awards in recognition of her fine performances.

Mindy's voice can best be described as "powerful." Yet she also has the versatility to sing an emotional ballad with the light grace of a butterfly. Her proficiency to belt out Aretha Franklin hits or Mariah Carey ballads has given her a reputation as one of the areas most gifted and well-rounded vocalists.
